Dr. Philippe Rey first joined Adolescent Counseling Services in 1998 as Caravan House Program Director. After three years at Caravan, he became a member of the executive team as Associate Director. Philippe was born and raised in the French-speaking part of Switzerland and came to the United States to attend college in 1984. His credentials include a bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology from UC San Diego and a master’s in counseling psychology from National University. In 1997 his doctorate in clinical psychology with a concentration in child and family therapy was conferred by Alliant International University in San Diego. Before pursuing graduate studies and a career in psychology, Philippe graduated from business school in Switzerland.

Philippe is a nationally recognized expert in the field of adolescent and developmental psychology. Currently, he is a member of the steering committee for the Outlet Program of the Community Health Awareness Council, a nonprofit program that supports and empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning youth ages 13 to 18 living on the Peninsula and in the South Bay. He is also a member of the board of directors of Palo Alto Community Child Care (PACCC).

Aarika first joined ACS as the Development and Marketing Associate in 2007. In July 2008, she became Development and Marketing Director, providing management in the areas of fund development, marketing, and community and donor relations. Prior to ACS, Aarika worked extensively in marketing and public relations at firms such as WiLine Networks Inc., Anderson Group Public Relations and Evan White PR. She spent over two years working in the Advancement department at California Lutheran University, exposing her to development and fund raising. Aarika holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Communication with an emphasis in Advertising and Public Relations from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, California.

Aarika is currently an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (Silicon Valley Chapter) and the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (San Francisco Bay Area Chapter).
