Administration

Development and Marketing Associate
FUNCTION: Support the agency in achieving annual fund development and marketing goals
REPORTS TO: Development and Marketing Director
SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week with benefits

POSITION SUMMARY
The Development and Marketing Associate will provide full-time support for our fundraising and marketing activites. This energetic self-starter will assist with an agrressive annual campaign, special events, and direct mail appeals. In addition, this position is responsible for all communications, including website, newsletters, annual reports, press releases, brochures and other agency collateral. This person will work closely with the Development and Marketing Director and the Board of Directors on all development-related and marketing activities.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the writing of fundraising materials, including appeal letters, and donor communications.
  • Assist in direct mail appeals and donor communication.
  • Act as liaison for community partners and funders, attending meetings and ensuring appropriate communication.
  • Provide support to fundraising volunteers and committees, including the Board of Directors, Development and Marketing Committee and its subcommittees (Planned Giving, Spring Sounds, and Annual Campaign)
  • Coordinate and provide support for ACS events, including our Donor Appreciation Luncheon, Spring Sounds Benefit Gala, cultivation events, etc.
  • Manage donor database, including data entry, updating, cleaning and utilization of database.
  • Assist in development and implementation of the annual Fund Development and Marketing Plan.
  • Produce collateral materials including brochures, flyers, etc. as necessary.
  • Produce two annual newsletters and one annual report. Write, assign and edit articles, and work with graphic designers, photographers and printers.
  • Produce E-Newsletter informing staff of agency events and news.
  • Maintain and update agency website in collaberation with Devekopment and Marketing Director.
  • Oversee the development of new areas including website, advertising media, and media outreach.
  • Update local media about agency news.
  • Provide administrative support to Development and Marketing Director.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, excellent writing, communication and computer skills, and demonstrated experience in project management. This position is ideal for a highly-motivated individual who is interested in building a succesful career in fundraising, marketing and/or non-profit leadership. Experience with Dreamweaver, Quark, InDesign and Fundraising Software a plus.

Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment Program

Clinical Supervisor
FUNCTION: The Clinical Supervisor provides direct individual and group supervision of clinical interns at the Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment Program. This position works closely with ASAT Program Director to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
SCHEDULE: Part-time position, 8-15 hours a week, some evening hours required.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.

POSITION SUMMARY
ACS is seeking an effective and professional Clinical Supervisor for the ACS Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment Program. With part-time and flexible hours, this position may be ideal for a practitioner looking to supplement their private practice. The Clinical Supervisor must be willing to work as a team with Executive Director and Program Director to run a successful and professional program. ACS holds itself and all staff to the highest professional standards.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet individually with each therapist for weekly one-hour sessions to discuss case material.
  • Train clinicians in assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
  • Participate in group supervision.
  • Be available for observation of individual, family therapy, or crisis consultation.
  • Assure appropriate documentation is accurate, timely and in compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 + years post license as Clinical Psychologist (preferred) or LCSW or MFT
  • Strong supervisory skills
  • Experience working with chemically abusing and dependent adolescents and their families.
  • Knowledge of the provider system, including school districts, Mental Health, Chemical Dependency Treatment Field and Social Services.

On-Campus Counseling Program

Clinical Supervisor/Site Director
REPORTS TO: On-Campus Counseling Program Director
SCHEDULE: Part-time, 22 hours per week during Academic Year (46 weeks)
SALARY: Commensurate with experience, plus partial healthcare benefits and paid school holidays and vacations.

POSITION SUMMARY
ACS is seeking an effective and professional Clinical Supervisor/Site Director for the On Campus Counseling Program. The ideal candidate would be responsible for overseeing clinical services on a middle school campus, collaborating with school administration and providing clinical supervision of MFT interns. The Clinical Supervisor/Site Director would work collaboratively within the On-Campus clinical team. ACS holds itself and all staff to the highest professional standards. Great hours and a flexible schedule with summer months off.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruit, train and supervise 2-4 trainees/interns who will work in secondary schools providing crisis intervention and individual, group and family counseling to students.
  • Provide weekly individual and group supervision; help plan and present trainings; monitor and summarize statistics and demographic data; review process notes and case files; co-lead groups; act as co-therapist in family meetings; be available for individual or group crisis work; act as liaison with graduate schools of counseling, psychology and social work.
  • Act as liaison with school sites and District staff, to facilitate meeting of school and agency requirements, and to provide a setting where interns can work productively.
  • Screen referrals to the program and assign interns/trainees where appropriate; when necessary, arrange for a PPS credentialed guidance counselor for additional supervision; meet regularly with school guidance team/Human Service Team; meet, as needed, with individual guidance counselors, psychologists, administrators and teaching staff.
  • Represent the On-Campus Counseling Program internally (to other ACS staff, Board of Directors, and Board of Advisors) and externally (to parents, community, donors, and graduate schools).
  • As assigned by OCC Program Director, attend occasional monthly ACS Board of Directors meetings; prepare written and oral reports; write articles for ACS newsletter and PTA newsletters; make presentations to United Way and other organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Licensed professional in the mental health field, (PhD,LMFT, LCSW) with 2 years post licensure experience; experience working with adolescents and families, clinical supervisory experience and experience in school setting a plus.

Clinical Intern - Bilingual
FUNCTION: Provide bilingual individual, family and group therapy for teens and their families in a secondary school setting, as well as crisis intervention and prevention education.
REPORTS TO: Program Director for particular school site.
SCHEDULE: This is for the 2007 – 2008 academic year. Recruiting starts in January on an annual basis. Part-time, 18-25 hours a week.
SALARY: This year there is a $3,000 stipend available for bilingual interns.

ACS is currently seeking part-time clinical interns (MFT Trainees, MFT Interns, SW Trainees and Interns, and Pre Doctoral Students) to work with adolescents and their families. ACS provides excellent clinical supervision and training. This is an ideal position for a clinical intern looking to broaden their clinical experience and receive high-quality clinical training.

  • Represent ACS at community functions when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Individual, group and family therapy experience encouraged
  • Able to commit to one full academic year
  • Fluent in English and one of the following languages, in order of greatest need: Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Russian, and Tagalog. Must be fluent enough to provide effective therapy in designated language.
  • Should have one year of related clinical experience
  • Interest in working in a school setting
  • Family therapy and/or experience with adolescents are preferred

Clinical Intern
