Dr. Philippe Rey first joined Adolescent Counseling Services in 1998 as Caravan House Program Director. After three years at Caravan, he became a member of the executive team as Associate Director. Philippe was born and raised in the French-speaking part of Switzerland and came to the United States to attend college in 1984. His credentials include a bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology from UC San Diego and a master’s in counseling psychology from National University. In 1997 his doctorate in clinical psychology with a concentration in child and family therapy was conferred by Alliant International University in San Diego. Before pursuing graduate studies and a career in psychology, Philippe graduated from business school in Switzerland.
Philippe is a nationally recognized expert in the field of adolescent and developmental psychology. Currently, he is a member of the steering committee for the Outlet Program of the Community Health Awareness Council, a nonprofit program that supports and empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning youth ages 13 to 18 living on the Peninsula and in the South Bay. He is also a member of the board of directors of Palo Alto Community Child Care (PACCC). |

Paula holds a bachelor’s degree in social science, with a minor in women’s studies. She has extensive experience working with youth, in roles such as mentor, program volunteer, support group facilitator, program coordinator and assistant director. She worked as the development officer for several years at a local nonprofit and later functioned as the development manager for the same agency. She attended the renowned Fund Raising School of the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University in March of 2003 and the two-day follow-up course, Developing Leadership for Major Gifts, in September of 2004. Paula is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and sits on the steering committee for the Outlet Program of the Community Health Awareness Council. |
