students in the On-Campus Counseling Program. Includes
parent sessions and collaboration with guidance staff
and teachers to ensure that a student’s needs
are met.
$2,500: A year of Parent Group meetings for parents
whose children are in the Adolescent Substance Abuse
Treatment Program.

The ACS On-Campus Counseling Program will provide free
counseling services to more than 1,000 teens and families
this year. This program, which costs $317,053, provides
the community with a life-saving prevention and intervention
service, while providing counseling interns with valuable
experience toward their therapy licensure. In addition
to the benefit of providing counseling on the school
campus, the program works with school and administrative
staff to ensure the students needs are being met. If
the students were to receive counseling in the community,
they would pay more than $500,000 for these services.
One month of counseling and education for over 100
Latino students: $5,000
One year of group counseling for 30 students: $10,000
Three months of ongoing weekly counseling for 15 students,
including family sessions and meetings with school staff: $20,000
Individual and family counseling sessions for 400 at-risk
middle school students: $40,000

Studies have shown that the longer a teen spends in
treatment, the better his or her chances are for recovery.
Studies have also proven that family participation
is a key to successful recovery.
ACS’s intensive
outpatient substance abuse treatment program is uniquely
successful in helping teens achieve sobriety and prevent
relapse. Clients spend 5-7 hours in treatment each
week, including participation in community 12-step
programs. They are randomly administered drug tests
2 to 3 times per week to monitor their progress.
Support three families in need of intensive, outpatient
treatment:
- One month of intensive weekly treatment, including
12 individual
and 12 family sessions, 8 teen groups, one multi-family
monthly
and 36 drug tests: $5,000
- Two months for 3 families in need $10,000
- One year of treatment for a family struggling with
drug addiction: $20,000
- Partial scholarships for 15 families in year-long treatment: $40,000
