SCHOOL SITE MANAGER – ON-CAMPUS COUNSELING PROGRAM
TITLE: School Site Manager – On-Campus Counseling Program
REPORTS TO: Clinical Director
HOURS: Full Time
SALARY: Competitive; Depending on experience/licensure status
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Site Manager is responsible for the overall administration and direction of the specific On-Campus Counseling Program (OCCP) they are assigned within Adolescent Counseling Services (ACS). The Site Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of school-based counseling services, providing leadership and support to interns/trainees, serving as a primary liaison to school staff, and overseeing daily operations of the site.
This position involves a balance of clinical oversight, program administration, staff mentorship, and active collaboration with school teams, families, and ACS leadership. The Site Manager ensures services are trauma-informed, equity-focused, and aligned with ACS’s mission of supporting youth and families in school communities.
This is a school-based, full-time role following the academic calendar with school holidays and summer break off. Some flexibility in remote work may be available depending on program needs.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Oversight & Site Operations
- Manage day-to-day operations of mental health services at the assigned school site
- Provide leadership and support to clinical interns/trainees, including case assignment, documentation review, and supervision (if eligible)
- Partner with school staff and leadership to support the social-emotional well-being of students
- Attend relevant school meetings (SSTs, IEPs, disciplinary conferences) and represent ACS in a professional and collaborative manner
- Provide crisis response and consultation to school staff and students, coordinating with ACS leadership when needed
- Ensure all documentation, compliance, and service tracking requirements are met and submitted in a timely manner
- Monitor site caseloads and programmatic needs; contribute to scheduling and coverage planning
Staff Development & Clinical Supervision
- Onboard, train, and support clinical interns and trainees assigned to the site
- Provide weekly supervision and/or clinical consultation as appropriate
- Maintain communication with clinical supervisors, ACS program managers, and the Clinical Director to ensure consistency of care and support for interns
- Contribute to the development of a positive team culture and internal support systems
School & Community Collaboration
- Serve as the site-level point of contact for school administration and staff
- Participate in or lead school-based wellness or mental health discussions and initiatives
- Provide referrals and linkage to external mental health and social service providers
- Engage in family-facing communication, outreach, and support when appropriate
Organizational Engagement & Representation
- Collaborate with ACS program managers and clinical leadership to refine mental health protocols and procedures
- Attend agency staff meetings, didactic trainings, and internal retreats/events
- Monitor and summarize program data, support data-driven planning and quality improvement
- Assist with reports for stakeholders including school partners, the ACS Board of Directors, and community funders
- Write brief articles or updates for newsletters, parent groups, or school staff
- Participate in Friends of ACS, Board presentations, and community outreach as assigned
Other Duties
- Fulfill all onboarding and ongoing compliance requirements (TB testing, fingerprinting, school site clearance, etc.)
- Demonstrate fluency or willingness to learn agency tech platforms including Google Suite, Box, Microsoft Office, and EHR systems

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field
- Licensed or license-eligible in California as LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD, or PhD
- Minimum 1–2 years of school-based clinical experience
- Experience supervising or supporting clinical interns/trainees
- Strong clinical skills in working with youth, families, and school systems
- Ability to maintain boundaries and confidentiality while working in a collaborative educational setting
- Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills
- Valid California driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation
- Technological fluency in standard office platforms and EHR systems
Preferred:
- Fully licensed with 2+ years post-licensure
- Bilingual/Bicultural (Spanish highly preferred)
- Familiarity with public school systems and youth support services
- Experience in data tracking, program development, or evaluation
- Comfort with public presentations and family/community engagement
This position is perfect for individuals who are post degreed and looking for management responsibilities while still accumulating clinical licensing hours. The position is also ideal for individuals who have children in school as the schedule follows schools’ schedules.
