Every day, an increasing number of LGBTQIA+ youth are coming out, challenging homophobia, and improving their communities. Since 1997, the Outlet Program has been a critical source of support and empowerment for these courageous young people by offering counseling, support services, leadership training, community education, and advocacy opportunities in English and Spanish. Outlet serves thousands of youth and trains countless young professionals each year. As a local resource for LGBTQIA+ youth, Outlet positively impacts the lives of teens in our community by reducing isolation, increasing self-esteem, and developing important skills for tomorrow’s adults and leaders. Outlet has been a program of Adolescent Counseling Services since 2013.
Out to Eat, Outlet’s annual fundraising gala, raises money to help Silicon Valley’s LGBTQIA+ youth. On Thursday, October 1, 2026, supporters of Outlet will gather at the Oshman Family JCC in Palo Alto to celebrate and raise funds that directly benefit our work with LGBTQIA+ youth.
Music, hors d’oeuvres, desserts and compelling youth speakers make for a festive and enjoyable evening for an estimated 120 guests, including prominent residents of Silicon Valley and the Mid-Peninsula. Out to Eat celebrates the Outlet program’s efforts to empower LGBTQIA+ youth and educate the community and is expected to raise more than $130,000 to support this critical work.
